Rumours Of Army Being Used In Water Protests

There is information abound that the army have trained recently to assist the Gardai with handling the ever increasing size of anti water protest, especially in light of the protests due in December.

The information suggests that the Gardai will not have the numbers to safely manage such large protests. However we hear this may be more to do with a lack of morale in the Gardai who feel they are being asked to do something outside their remit regarding the meter installation. They are having their once good reputation shredded on social media and we hear we may well be seeing a large bout of “blue flu” this winter.

Now many of us know guys in the army and know that these guys are on the people’s side, especially in this debate, they are as much against the water charge as we are, as are many Gardai. So let’s keep all the good guys on the same side and treat eachother with respect; and together, people, soldiers, gards and anyone else with the same mind will turn this government from their corporate agenda.

There has to come a point soon where even those pushing this agenda look at the mess, the anger, soldiers on the street and say “look what we’ve done, this has to stop, we took this too far”

Addendum

In case anyone is getting the wrong idea about this post, it is not sinister that this might happen. It is merely a commentary on the fact that the government may be losing the support of the rank and file Gardai, which necessitates the use of army personnel at such a large event. They wont as someone suggested be “used against the people”, they wouldn’t be armed either. They would merely be making up the numbers if the blue flu hits. They do this kind of thing all the time as the winter floods highlighted with all the work they did protecting river banks, getting feed to animals and clearing roads. They are also called in for public health reasons like bin strikes. This post is only intended to pre-warn people so they wont react the wrong way if it does happen, as our insider suggests it might should the dreaded blue flu hit the Gardai. remember they have already stopped collecting spot fines twice this year in protest.

As an x soldier I doubt if any soldiers will want to take a role in this.We will see a lot of blue flu and green flu.I say let them install the bloody meters and get on with the process of getting the government fools out of the dail

You are probably right, though there is a health danger in those meters that we haven’t yet talked about. They are also believed to be bought from Germany where they were removed for being faulty, over reading volumes

it was reported not to long ago that the army had to borrow uniforms to go on parade, also that soldiers had to sleep in their cars as they could not afford the petrol to go home to their families….i think they are pissed off with the government as much as the protesters are

When a government bring an army out against its people isn’t that civil war?

That’s not what it’s for, it is merely to highlight the lack of number if the Gardai get he blue flu, meaning teh government has lost the rank and file, they no longer want to enforce this thing that is clearly not wanted by the majority of the people

this is a scare tactic….soldiers can and have done on many an occasion backed up the gardai at large protest BUT YOU WONT SEE THEM AS THEY ARE THERE AS AN AID TO THE CIVIL POWER and can only be brought in if the gardai cannot control the situation…ie rioting, their job would be to prevent damage to property and attacks on gardai and civilians……no violence NO ARMY…simple as. Also THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH SOLDIERS TO BE OF ANY USE if the protests are country wide. Another point is that as has been said before the army are sick of this government as well…….Lots of Soldiers will be reporting sick to the Medical Officers………..remember soldiers do not have to obey an unlawful order and as the soldiers swear to protect the people of ireland i can seen a serious problem if the gov tries to bring them on the streets outside of what i have said above. keep the faith
