EU rulers think European people irrevocably surrendered their rights to the Commission

This EU statement in the Journal article below is frightening but it is impossible !

The EU Commission seems to think the people of all European countries have ceded their freedom to the EU and forfeited their natural or human rights, forever, to decide their own future (i.e. to leave the EU). However, they are misguided as this is an impossibility in human history. It seems, like all megalomaniacs, those who have institutionalised themselves in these corridors of government have become perverted and corrupted by the false belief that hey have power over other people.

The mentality of the those leading the EU Commission and driving the European project is now so skewed that they truly believe that pieces of paper that say “article 40 paragraph 3” on them are “irrevocable” upon millions of human beings, when in reality they are only pieces of paper, how can a piece of paper be irrevocable when a piece of paper can be torn up, burned or re-written.?

How can these people seriously believe a piece of paper signed by a representative of an agency of one generation can possibly mean that the future of millions of living breathing people are set in stone forever. That those those who signed up, and later found out that it wasn’t what they were told it was going to be, have no right to change their minds. And more, that even any human beings that come after those that signed up to that piece of paper have no rights to change the situation left them. They are supposed to accept they are forever prisoners of their forebears mistakes and cannot use their natural right to choose their own future.

Does that sound logical to anyone at all, or does it sound like mass brainwashing; unnatural or false philosophy.

Of course the people of every country in Europe have the right to remove themselves from the EU at any point in the future of their choosing, because people are real living beings, states are not, they are simply legal entities created by and subject to the will of the people; that can and have changed multiple times through history.

Ireland is a Republic and so the People are sovereign, your constitution reminds the State of that self evident fact (see article 6) – and so to behave itself. The people are also enshrined outside that constitution as the creators of that document which limits the State in their activities (see preamble). The State governments and EU are simply agencies set up by the people to serve the people. The people can create, change or remove agencies at their will and can never cede their sovereignty to those agencies which serve them.

This is an important lesson for everyone to remember when you read, or hear news, or talking heads regurgitate this kind of propaganda. Just remember that we the people are the masters, and these agencies were created by us and they serve us, and nothing can change the positions in that relationship. The ultimate decision is always with the sovereign people… and they know that, which is why they who are institutionalised into those power structures fear us and propagandise us like this.

It is a worrying sign when statements like this come out of governmental agencies. It is a sign that the mental illness of dictatorship is festering and growing in those who work in those institutions, and it reminds us that it is probably time we purge these institutions of their sickness, and if we can’t then it may be best to let the patient die.

Always remember the Irish Nation is the People.

EU says you can’t be booted out of the eurozone as membership is ‘irrevocable’

There has been speculation in Germany that Greece would inevitably have to leave the eurozone.

A COUNTRY’S MEMBERSHIP in the eurozone is “irrevocable,” a European Commission spokeswoman said today when asked about Greece’s possible exit from the single currency union following elections this month.

“Euro membership is irrevocable,” spokeswoman Annika Breidthardt told reporters, saying the rule was enshrined in article 140, paragraph 3 of the Lisbon Treaty.

Once you’re in the club, there’s no going back, would seem to be the message, however, she was vague in answering further questions about Greece.

But, asked whether such an option was feasible, Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas said:

We are not going to enter into speculation and scenarios which risk being interpreted in a context that is not put forward.

The Commission, the EU executive arm, was questioned after the German weekly Der Spiegel said Saturday the German government believed it was inevitable that Greece would leave the eurozone if Syriza, the far-left anti-austerity party, wins the January 25 elections.

Syriza, which leads in opinion polls, has threatened to renegotiate the terms of its European Union-International Monetary Fund bailout if it wins the election — a prospect that has rattled Brussels and the financial markets.

Greek Prime Minister Antonio Samaras has said the snap election would determine whether his country remains in the eurozone.

This is a strange story as this Lisbon treaty added a procedure under artice 50 for states to leave the EU. Maybe something lost in translation for the german story

It Is correct that no member state can be excluded but as mention by David Shaw the article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty is very clear “Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.”

Do we have a problem in that the government changed our constitution to say that no article in teh constitution can supercede the EU article that was inserted for the treaty?

And do you think the people were properly informed as to the consequences, while they were being frightened into voting yes for jobs, stability and growth ?

No but people need to inform themselves when voting

Here is what I found inhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_Ireland#Transitory_provisions . International law: Under Article 29.6 international treaties to which the state is a party are not to be considered part of Ireland’s domestic law unless the Oireachtas has so provided. Under Article 29.3 it is declared that the state “accepts the generally recognised principles of international law as its rule of conduct in its relations with other States”, but the High Court has ruled that this provision is merely aspirational, and not enforceable.

That is what normally happens but eu law is different as we changed our constitution. So most eu law now has direct effect and it has supremcy over domestic law. However the eu can only make laws over certain areas which the treatys allow them.

It is true nothing in the treaty of Lisbon says anything about leaving Euro.
However it is possible for Greece to use the article 50 to leave EU.
The only only movement in Greece telling about this is called EPAM United People’s Front (their main site is in Greek but they have a blog with some articles in English : https://epaminternational.wordpress.com/ )
