Good one Ben
I am trying to promote DDI on the McWilliams blog. davidmcwilliams.ie
I live in Canada but was at the Grand opening of the party a few years back. Great ideas but the people are ignorant of the choice they have to vote DDI.
I can understand not wanting to bail out the banks, since it’s not taxpayers debt.
Regarding repossessions,… people should buy houses that are within their means,.. the pricing issue could be better dealt with by abolishing the current planning laws and allowing first time home buyers automatic planning permission on their own land which would enable them to build an affordable modest house.
Regarding water charges,.. at the end of the day maintaining such a service costs money with should be payed for specifically by those people who use the service and not subsidized through general taxation by those in the country who put good money into their own wells. The poor get a substantial free allowance, above which they rightfully pay like everyone else,… .. after all welfare should be about getting by and not living in luxury at other peoples expense
