A number of Top executives and Senior Civil Servants in Ireland since the start of the year 1st Jan 2016 will today have earned more than the average annual salary of the majority of workers.

Anthony Connor of Direct Democracy Ireland a National citizens movemnt stated “When it comes to Austerity despite what Enda Kenny and Co are spouting, we are not all in this together, Over-payments at top level are fuelling serious distrust at a time when trust is needed to demonstrate that our Government it is part of the solution to ending Austerity and to stop squeezing those on lowers incomes, and seek to promote a recovery in which all employees can benefit”

He went on to say that how, on any level can it be right that some have earned the average annual wage of most workers, in the first week of the year. Direct Democracy Ireland who recently announced the joining of forces with The National Citizens Movement to become Direct Democracy Ireland a national citizen’s movement are calling for an evaluation of all salaries, expenses, and pensions paid to all public representatives both past and present and Top executives. We need to cut our cloth to measure.

We are holding a Conference on Sat 16th Jan at the Greville Arms Hotel, Pearse Street, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Which will be the first official meeting of the newly formed Direct Democracy Ireland a National Citizens Movement, Where we will introduce our candidates and outline our manifesto for the 2016 General Election.

We would like to issue an open invitation to all citizens countrywide who would like to get involved in creating a new Democracy for a stronger Ireland.
