Born and raised in inner city Dublin in 1950 he understands many of the problems of inner city life and the problems generated by poverty , the lack of having a voice and having to rely on a Representative system to have that voice in Government , where their elected representatives are subject to a party whip system over and above the needs of their electorate .

Raymond and The Party he founded is committed to restoring article 48 of the first Constitution which gave the people the power of Referendum and recall over their representatives to create a fairer, more balanced and inclusive Democracy .

As a restauranteur in Temple Bar in the 1980’s he was the instigator  (and campaigned successfully) to save the historic area of Temple Bar from the Developers bulldozer’s to become one of the biggest  tourist attractions and revenue earners for the state .

He challenged successfully in court , theatre’s to make public , performances that are not suitable for children and campaigned to have Brian Cowen removed as Minister for health in the early 2000 .
If elected he will work tirelessly to restore power to the people to engage more fully in their own political future .
